THE VILLAGE ADVERTISER

The Village Advertiser is an ambitious project that I started in 2004 and have produced annually since that time. This is a comb bound book with laminated covers, which provides publicity for businesses and organisations and is distributed to residents in the local villages.

Early in the year I start contacting existing advertisers and seek out new clients who may benefit from local advertising. I collect their details and requirements, design their advert and supply a proof copy. When all the information has been checked and approved by the customer, I compile it ready for publishing.

Everything is produced and printed “in house” with no external intervention. Last year this amounted to almost 30,000 double sided pages, printed, punched and bound!

To ensure that every book reaches potential customers, I then personally deliver each of them to the residents of Droxford, Meonstoke, Corhampton, Exton and parts of Soberton. As far as I am aware, no other small business handles an entire project such as this single-handedly.

2008 saw the start of an exciting new additional service, that being this website, where the businesses and organisations who are included in the VILLAGE ADVERTISER can promote their services to a much wider audience.

JACQUI’S PRODUCTIONS

Jacqui’s Productions is a small enterprise based in the Hampshire village of Droxford.

Situated in the heart of the Meon Valley, the village is adjacent to Meonstoke, Corhampton, Exton and Soberton, with Wickham and Bishops Waltham nearby.

The business was established in 2002, specialising in quality printed personalised goods, but without the necessity to purchase more than is really needed. Much of the product range is equally suitable for both personal and business users, the main difference being that of course those requiring larger quantities are rewarded with even lower prices. As an example, a single keyring containing the photo of a loved one is really nice to have. Likewise, basically the same item, but containing the contact details of your business, makes an excellent, but relatively inexpensive promotional product and a constant reminder of your services.
